Some problem with first installation

Hi to all,
we have installed Parallels on our MAC and we have these problems:

  1. Unable to set default printers. Where we can to set the default printers nothing happens and the default printers remains all the same
  2. Unable to share win folders with other win PC. We have created a folder in the Win machine and set to sharing with everyone but from others PC of our net this share isn't visible. In WIN we have disabled the password protection.
  3. After the installation of Parallels is started a installation of WIN but is a Home edition and we have license for professional edition. Is possible to migrate the installation do professional edition without reinstalla all the virtual machine?

Hi LauraA1,
1. Are you sharing printers from Mac side or using direct or network printers?
2. Make sure Windows firewall is Off and under VM configuration > Hardware > Network > Bridged - Default is selected.
3. If it is just Windows 10 Home (Not Windows 10 Home N) after installation is complete use the Pro key Windows will be activated and other features will be updated else you need to create a new VM.

1. We have a multifunction Xerox printer. In MAC side the printer is the default printer and all works fine. In Win side the system have installed automatically a generic Xerox printer with HP Laserjet driver. We have installed on Win side a new printer with Xerox Global Driver and removed the printer installed automatically by the system and all works fine, but when we restart the PC the system install automatically another printer with HP laserjet drivers and give this printer the default, from this moment isn't possible to change the default printer.
For the other questions we make some tests.

Yes. What happens is this:
We remove the printer that is automatically created by the system in the Windows part and we set the Xerox printer as default. When the Windows virtual machine is restarted, the printer with HP Laserjet driver is automatically re-created and set as default printer and from that moment it is no longer possible to change the default printer to our Xerox.
