In a typical configuration behind a router with a ipv6 prefix /64, macOS will connect with 2 or more ipv6 addresses, a permanent "secured" address with a suffix based on the network controller's MAC address, and one more temporary addresses with random suffixes which make it harder for the MAC to be tracked across the internet. Web browsers and other apps will expose the temporary addresses through normal use, and the permanent address is reserved for incoming connections where constant IP address might be desired.
With shared networking turned on for my VMs in Parallels 19.3.0, I noticed that my Windows 11 Machine is using the temporary address as expected, but my macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 virtual machine is using the permanent one. You can check this by going to ipv6.google.com and searching "what is my ip," among other methods. This is a minor privacy/security issue and should be fixed. In the meantime, I recommend using bridged networking or disabling ipv6 in macOS guests.
