Hello I want to backup SQL Server 2005 databases to USB attached hard drive. USB drive maps under Windows XP as a network drive which is no good for SQL Server. The only way to backup from SQL Server is by using UNC path, like "\\Computer\Drive\Folder". However when I try to use Parallels Shared Networking Adapter IP address, SQL Server fails to find the address. Any ideas on how to make whole thing work? Thank you
Pls consider above question closed. I simply added USB connected drive to the list of VM USB devices (VM Configuration -> USB Controller) and said drive appeared in Windows XP as a local one, which was then seen by SQL Server.
