I've seen several posts about this topic but they all either end with no response or a reference to finding it elsewhere -- which just gets into an infinite loop. I've been searching for the last two hours (and had searched before today) for this solution.

Is it possible to set up a private standalone network using the host OS X and one or more Parallels VMs? I need to have one or more server instances (potentially Linux, Solaris or Windows) for an enterprise development project and have them accessible from the host. Trick is, this entire thing needs to stand on its own -- no wireless, no physical Ethernet.

I've been trying all sorts of tricks to try and get this working. I've fiddled with Parallels settings, Mac settings, and guest OS settings to no avail. The guest VM gets an IP that I can ping from inside the VM, but Mac can't see it, and the Mac has no IP to ping from the VM to test that direction.

    Any ideas?
