I have still a problem with a VM converted from Parallels 3.0. The VM uses appox. 20% CPU insead of < 10%.
This case has been running thru all support levels, one of the last updates reduced it successfully from 30 to 20% ...
IMHO the problem could only be located in 2 areas: Artefacts of old Parallels 3.0 Tools or probs with the old image format.
Following would be worth a try:
- Removing Parallels Tools completely
- Creating a disk image with e.g. Drivesnapshot: http://www.drivesnapshot.de/en/news.htm
- Restoring the image to a clean Parallels 4 VM
How can I remove all traces and eventually patched system files of the Parallels 3.0 Tools ?
If removed, can I still access network or an USB drive for imaging ?
