After upgrading to Beta 6, I found that I could no longer boot my XP SP2 VM. It would just hang at the screen that displays while Windows is loading.

I ended up dropping my RAM settings for the VM from 512MB to 256MB and then I could boot into Windows. I then updated the Parallels tools, shut down the VM and set the RAM back to 512MB. All seems to be working OK now, but I'll keep an eye on it.

    Just an FYI .

    Thanks!

Try downloading the DMG file again. I was seeing the same thing but then noticed that the current download for Beta 6 is newer than the one I downloaded earlier. (Old one was labeled Parallels-2.1.1812.5-Mac.dmg, new one is Parallels-2.1.1812.7-Mac.dmg.)

The newer version seems to be working as good as the previous versions were.
