Support client configuration by MDM (Appconfig support)

Add support for appconfig to the mobile clients, so that MDM servers can preconfigure the server details for users.

 

I would like to be able to push client configurations to iOS devices using my MDM servers as well. Asking users to remember how to configure these server connections on corporate owned devices isn't something that they should have to do.

 

Hi ricdgr, Jim, thanks for the feedback. We have a corresponding feature in our internal task tracking solution, cant say when it might be released.
But right now I can suggest you 2 ways for autoconfiguring a Parallels Client:
1) ask your customers to open HTML5 portal, click Download Client and click "Configure":



This will launch Parallels Client and create a new connection to your farm.

2) Use user invitation email from RAS Console:
Start category -> Invite users

Configure necessary settings and send email to your new users:
