Suse Linux is so cold

My first question is that I know they are working on a new version of Parallels that better supports boot camp for Mac so you can run software from the boot camp partition or something like that. Will my current version be updated for free to that new version of your software of should I wait till it comes out and buy it then? And my main problem is that when I try to install Suse Linux 10.1 in the software either through the Suse part and through the other linux part, I get to the screen where it says that the distro is booting and it freezes when it says that is booting from the local disc. I am wondering if anyone else has had problems like this or if it will be resolved in the next version of Parallels? I have searched all over the net and no one else is having this problem. And it also happens when I try to install Suse Linux 10.2. No matter what type of Linux distro I tell the software it is or doing it manually, it always freezes. So if anyone knows of a work around for it or if it will be issued in the next version I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm having the same problem and wondering if you still haven't find solution for it :confused:
I wish there's an answer for this. I can't get over the booting thing. It just freez!
 
Which Mac and Parallels build are you using?

I have installed VM for Fedora 6, ubuntu 6.10, openSuse 10.2, Openfiler 2.2 (based on rPath Linux), and Windows XP pointing to Boot Camp partition. Except Fedora 6, which had display problem that took some hand changes in xorg.conf, all others were installed very smoothly.

I found that ubuntu 6.10 live DVD is easiest to install. Maybe you can try that first.

Never try OpenSUSE 10.2 on build 3036 but I have no problem running it on build 3150. Why don't you give that a try?
 
I couldn't install it even with the new build! It still gives me the same problem, stick at this point.

Even with this pic, it might be not Parallels problem. But I hope you can tell me what to do.

You are trying to boot without the install.

You need to catch that BEFORE it tries to boot and type "linux" like that screen says too.

Its not a parallels problem, sorry to say its an OHS problem...

Just watch that screen and dont go away... it gives ya like 10 to 30 seconds to type "linux" then defaults too boot... which it will never do until you install first.
