suspend function and restore

Never tried Virtual PC but Parallels seems to suspend and resume quite ok on my computer. Guess it depends what you are running it on. Athlon64 3200, 1gb ram here.

Suspend performance is highly depend of primary OS you are running on. It is rather quick on Linux primary OS and quite slow on Windows.

Are the amounts of guest memory of Virtual PC and Parallels Workstation the same? Can you provide any numbers (e.g. it's twice slower or so)?

Hello Tim,

please execuse my lousy English. Here are the numbers:
HOST: 512 MB with w2k
all guest-PCs are using the same Hd

w2k-guest virtual pc:
memory 256 MB
hd: 4 gb = 2.988.796 kb( physical)
suspend 20 sec

w2k-guest parallels:
memory 256 MB
hd: 4 gb = 918.332 kb (physical) / 273.592 (sav)
suspend 90 sec.
resume 75 sec.
suspend 95 sec.
