I am using multiple version of CAD tools under windows to support various projects and need to switch between multiple windows VMs quickly to do this. Since the VMs require the CAD tools to run at reasonable speed they are set to 8GB with 4 cores. Since I only have 16GB on my mac I need to suspend one before I can resume the other VM. It used to take only a few seconds (~5sec) to suspend and resume on Parallels 10 and Lion, now years later this takes >30s (and for some reason it does make hardly any difference if I use an SSD for the VM file) So I am trying to understand what is happening (I assume some compression?) and if I may be able to disable this to get back at a faster suspend/resume. My Fedora BOX VM performs ~8 times faster in suspend/resume on very similar hardware.
Hi @ParallelsU111 , is it happening with any particular Windows virtual machine or all the virtual machines?
