I've been trying to get a professional mapping program running--CadCorp SIS MapBrowser <http://www.cadcorp.com/resources_digital_mapping/free_downloads.htm>. I get the application's splash screen then nothing happens...unless I suspend the VM then start it again. Then the program launches!
Does anyone have any idea why this might occur? I think solving this might help understand a bunch of odd hangups in applications I have.
