First, let me state that I think Parallels Desktop for Mac is a FANTASTIC product. Windows XP in a VM runs faster than it does on my old 1.6 GHz Centrino notebook. My only issue so far is described below.
The football statistics software from Stat Crew (http://www.statcrew.com/html/football1.shtml) is a character based app that runs in a console window in Windows XP. When I attempt to run this application inside a Parallels VM running Windows XP, the application runs extremely slowly at first and then, locks up, forcing me to use Task Manager to kill the process or to restart the VM.
Everything else I've thrown at my VM runs just fine. If I can get this problem solved, then I can say goodbye for good to my old Windows PC.
