In order to play Age of Empires:Definitive Edition, I purchased your product on my Macbook Pro, which has a m1 pro chip.

    Here's what's going on:

After a few minutes of playing single-player, I exit the game and the error message "out of sync" appears on my screen.

This problem has a lot of solutions online, but none of them demonstrate how to use parallels to solve it (they all use crossover, wine or linux things). The question now is, what should I do? Has anyone else run into this issue? If so, what steps did you take to address it?

There must be something wrong with my computer.

Hello SansraLewisF, Please Look at the graphics memory in Parallels Configuration for your Windows VM:
Hardware (tab) -> Graphics (item) -> Memory (combo box). Please set it to 2GB. Please change it from Auto or something lower than 2GB and check.

I have the same problem with my M2 Pro. Following the above resulted in an immediate crash due to sync issue, whereas previously, it took a few minutes for things to go out of sync.
