Touchscreen support

I realize the MacBook doesn't have a touchscreen, however, I have a program for work that has a check for touchscreen when started. Having a touchscreen for that program is completely unnecessary but I might as well tell IT to breath under water.

I found on VMfusion there is a switch to enable touchscreen even when there isn't one. I don't use that program I chose this one and I need to know if there is a way to trick windows 8.1 into thinking I have a touchscreen HID.

Hi @MarkT2 - this feature is not currently available in Parallels Desktop for Mac, but we will be glad to submit a feature request.
What's the program you use which requires touchscreen?
 
The program is called MAPA it is an in-house application taking program. The check for a touchscreen is preformed when the program launches. If not detected it prompts the user to attach a signature pad. Of course a person can easily sign with a stylus on the trackpad but I am blocked because of the touchscreen issue.

The odd and beyond the scope of the forum thing is my desktop with no touchscreen for some reason registers as one. I can't find what causes it to do that.
 
After investigating my desktop under pen and touch it has "single touch support."

On windows 8.1 on the mac it says "no pen or touch is available for this display."

I can only assume it might be the logitech trackpad.
