TPM chip, sharing one VM between two Macs

I need to use Windows for a work-specific app. I have two Parallels licenses (Desktop 18 Pro), one for my home iMac and one for my office MacBook.

I would like to share one Virtual Machine (Win11 Pro) with both of these machines. My two ideas were (1) host the VM on OneDrive and access it from both computers or (2) host the VM on a USB-C flash drive. In both cases, I would take care to shut down the VM before opening it on the other computer. The OneDrive solution would require a lot of bandwidth, depending on how often Parallels saves changes to the VM.

Then I saw this article: https://kb.parallels.com/en/122702 I'm concerned that if I try either of my ideas, I may be locked out of the VM. The article discusses transferring the TPM chip to another Mac using iCloud Keychain, but doesn't mention using the same VM on two different computers. Is it even possible to do what I'm suggesting, using two machines to access the same VM?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Is it not possible for you to have to installations of said app instead?

Thanks for the reply. I do have two copies of my Windows app. But I would like my work to be synced between my home iMac and office MacBook. Right now, I copy my files manually back and forth. If I could work off the same VM, it would save a step.

If it's only User files (not apps), then why not use a cloud sync option? Assuming it's Functional on both VMs. I see random threads about sync issues, but never read them.

The particular app that I need maintains a database that requires it be kept in a specific directory. I've tried renaming that directory, but it breaks the app.
