Transporter - "Applying hardware changes... is not supported"

I've been using Parallels for quite some time now and it's been working fine. I've just changed jobs though and I'm trying to 'import' my new work laptop into a VM so that I only have to take my Mac when I travel.

I've installed Transporter on the machine (an IBM Thinkpad running XP Pro, OEM presumably) and when I run transporter I get the message:

"Applying hardware changes to the operating system Microsoft Windows XP is not supported. You can migrate the selected volume as data volume. Do you really want to continue?"

I'm confused by this and can't seem to find a solution by searching the forums or the documentation on Transporter. I have full admin rights to the machine, so can't see that being a problem. Is there some sort of compatibility issue?

Any advice much appreciated.

I still can't seem to get this to work and would really appreciate any advice from the forum and/or Parallels team.

Incidentally, VMWare imports the laptop fine and it loads and functions in Fusion without issue (of course I'd prefer to get it working in Parallels as use it more often!) Strangely once imported as a VMWare virtual machine, Parallels Transporter running on the Mac won't import it either.

Any thoughts anyone?

If it's of any use, the message from Transporter running on the Mac is slightly different as follows:

"No operating system is installed on virtual disk(s), or Parallels Transporter is unable to make it bootable. You can migrate the disk(s) as data disk(s)."
