Hi. I am confused about virtual machine vs. Parallels. I have just purchased a one-year subscription to Parallels Desktop For Mac Pro Edition. As far as I can tell, my "virtual machine" is IE 11 on Windows 8.1.2. The only way I have been able to install this is as a trial period. The writing on the Desktop says that the option exists to purchase a full version, and information can be found on the Desktop. But I have searched and not found. I'm concerned that once the trial period is over, I will lose everything and have to install another trial period, like i have done before. SO... my question is, since I just purchased a subscription for Parallels Desktop For Mac Pro Edition (and downloaded it, with the license code), does this override the trial period designation? Does this post even make sense? I hope so... me confused! Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately, as of now, there is no way to convert these Windows trial VMs to non-expiring VMs, including even if the appropriate Windows product key is purchased. You can repeat the dowload of a VM as often as you want, creating an unlimited number of 90-day trials.
When 90 days trial expires, your Windows VM will stop working. There will be no option to re-activate it even using commercial Windows key. You will lose access to your Windows applications and there will be no way to migrate it to another Windows virtual machine.
As of now, what I can suggest is that if you are not willing to go for a 90 days trial version all over again then you can purchase Windows from Microsoft and have it installed as a fresh virtual machine and we can Map the hard disk of your trial Windows to the complete one. This will help in getting the files from the trail version Windows VM but the applications that you are using on your Windows IE virtual machine will need a re-installation in your new Windows VM.
