When XP 'boots' up I keep getting an error message:

"unable to open device/file Default CD/DVD-ROM"

Could this be because I renamed the CD rom from D: to Z: drive? Will try putting it back. Problem is I created another HD and made that D:

Will let you know, unless someone has the answer...

    enable/disable nope

Tried something I read in here on another string about disabling the CDrom and Enabling it.

Well I don't get the error message now, but Parallel is locked up when it loads XP. Clicked on "My Computer" and the hourglass is still showing. Rebooted the Mac and so on, so any ideas would help, besides reinstalling.

Guess gotta get a pirated enterprize version of XP because of the 3 installs and have to call MS in India for another key :(
