Ubuntu 13.10 complains "Could not apply the stored configuration for monitors"

Ubuntu 13.10 is finally running in Parallels 9. My laptop is a rMBP 13" running at 1680x1050 display resolution. Retina is turned off for the Linux VM. It runs correctly at 1680x1050, but I keep getting this popup error on startup. I added 1680x1050 to xorg.cong. What can I do to resolve this issue?
