Anyone else having issues with Ubuntu 6.06 starting up in RC2? I cannot get past the Live CD loading ... it basically will not install. Any ideas?
Yep. Same here. Same problem here ... kernel won't load. Maybe the final tomorrow will work. Fedora Core 5 loads and runs just fine. Go figure.
At least I'm not alone, I suppose. Wonder who's at fault here, as I upgraded Parallels then upgraded Ubuntu at the same time....
Daniel, How much memory are you trying to use? If you're trying to use more than 512megs, cut it back to 512 and it shoudl load properly. I have dapper loaded but I loaded it under RC1. Cheers, Peter
I had 768 set aside for ubuntu ... setting it to 512 seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the tip! Why do you think that seems to cause a problem?
