Currently running macOS 10.14.3 (18D109) and Parallels 14 on Macbook Pro Retina, Late 2013.
When the Windows 10 VM is still running and the Macbook Pro goes into hibernation I am unable to restart my Macbook as the password screen does not appear. All I get is the arrow cursor and a black screen.
The only way to restart is to press and hold the power button. The Macbook reopens with associated programs still running but the WIndows VM has been shut down with all programs closed, losing work in Office applications.

  2. Hi, what about your Mac sleep mode settings? Could you please set it to never and check the issue.
Also please boot your Mac into Safe Mode, and run for a while there to see if the problem persists. If not reboot normally and test again.

And let us know does the same issue persists with other apps (not with Parallels Desktop)
