I use Parallels Desktop for Mac App Store edition on my M1 Macbook air. I also have a full License for Parallels Desktop 9 in addition to an upgrade license for Parallels Desktop 10. I'm trying to activate that license on a 2012 Macbook Pro running 10.11.6, because I would like to have access to Windows XP-Windows 8.1 for development and system administration reasons. The product says that I should email activatepd@parallels.com, but Parallels seems to have shut off that email address. I cannot use a product I paid for, which sucks. When I used the Parallels.com website to get support with this, it told me my only option was Facebook Messenger (I'm not on Facebook), Twitter, or this forum, which sucks. Parallels please assist.
Hello Joseph, Thank you for your feedback. We have reset the activation limit for your license key. Please retry and let us know if this resolves your issue. If the issue persists, please share screenshot of any error message. Thanks
Literally no change in behavior when I try to activate.... it still takes me to a page that says Parallels Desktop cannot connect to the Internet in order to complete your product activation. Thank you for your time, but please assist further so that I can use Parallels 10.
Hello, Please note that this is a known issue. We have sent to you an alternate solution. Please check your inbox for more information. Thanks
Thank you. Apologies for the delayed reply, as it took me some time to test this solution. I have the macbook in question at my work office. I was able to test and it is working now with the solution you provided via DM. My only nitpick is that this seems to be Home Edition that is now working, and I'm fairly certain I purchased the Pro version of Parallels 10 if I'm not mistaken. Can anything be done about that?
Hello, The key we have provided to you is the same Edition as you had for Parallels Desktop 10. Thanks
I have the same exact issue. I too will need a work-around sent to my email. I have Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac. I upgraded to an SSD hard drive. I have installed Parallels Desktop. I get an error message: PD cannot connect to the Internet in order to complete your product activation. My license is still associated with my original hard drive. My OSX is El Capitan (MacBook Pro 2009). Thank you. Scott
