After Upgrading to v19, seems like my login password somehow got a problem and I can't login.
I now I'm using the correct password but it keeps saying the password is incorrect.

So, I was looking for a way to reset my password somehow and found this link
    https://kb.parallels.com/114193
I followed the instructions to the last step,
    prlctl set {uuid} --userpasswd {username}:{password}

When doing so however, I got the following error:

    Authentication tokens updated successfully.
Unable to commit VM configuration: The operation failed. To perform this operation, you must enter the host OS administrator's credentials.
Failed to configure the virtual machine

Contacted Parallels Support, but they say this is out of scope and told me to try asking Microsoft, but given this is an issue with Parallels command prlctl not working, I don't think Microsoft can help.
And now here I am stuck, unable to access my windows OS. was wondering if anyone had this issue or knows what approach I could take.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Could you please provide us with the below information for further investigation:
    1. Whether you were using Windows Local password or your Microsoft account password to login to Windows ?
    2. Kindly reproduce the issue and collect a technical report (right-click Parallels icon in Dock > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and provide us with the report's 9-digit ID in reply to this post.
    Thank you.

Is there any outcome from this investigation?
Because I have a very similar issue on v19 (not upgraded, but new install).
Local Windows account and followed the same procedure with the same error message as result.

I haven't heard back since. Ended up just removing my VM and making a new one...

After some more failed attempts with the Windows instance in sleep mode or even turned off, I turned off the macbook.
Next morning, I attempted to add a new Windows instance which unfortunately was caught in a never ending startup/install loop.
So, I started the original Windows instance and it threw an error about failing to login and showed me a password edit field (I had a blank password before).
I filled in the password I had been testing with (prlctl, see above) and it logged in!

Not sure which action of mine 'solved' the issue, but hopefully this contains some pointers for someone else.
