I have a macOS 10.8 guest machine which works fine. I need to share a folder from the host to the guest, but I am unable to connect using the Finder to the host. I just get 'connection failed'. The shared folder is shared using AFP via System Prefererences. I would prefer a host-only network solution because of security, but at this point I'm willing to accept anything, just to get both to share a folder. The manual only talks about a Windows guest OS, so is no help. I have set to mount the drives of the host on the guest, but these are also not available. What are the steps I need to make sure the guest 10.8 OS can mount (AFP) a shared folder on the host?
