Unable to Install Mac OS X Mavericks Recovery Partition

I'm trying to install but get an error message as shown in the screenshot.

I was able to install Mac OS X Mavericks properly using the recovery partition function. The error message reported earlier did not appear.
Now, I want to install on this virtual machine the beta version that Apple has made available to non-developers. Before I try that, I want to know if that is possible. On another thread here I read that others had problems installing a new build. Please note this is not a developer only version but a public beta.
