I'm attempting to install Parallels on a boot camp partition. It's consistently failing to install, review of the log file lists failure to install the prl_boot file. I've followed the recommendations of several kb articles, disabling startup programs and third-party services. I also followed the recommendations in kb123813. (There is no prl_boot key to delete).

Any help would be appreciated, I'm out of ideas.

That seems to have fixed it. I didn't have the prl_boot.sys file in the directory, but there was a folder called prl_boot. I renamed the folder and added the prl_boot.sys file. Install was able to complete at that point. I still got error messages from parallels toolbox afterward, so I reinstalled the toolbox one last time. That seems to have fixed any lingering issues.

    Thanks for the assist
