Unable to upgrade Parallels Tools after upgrade to Desktop 5.0

Every time I try to install the Parallels tools for XP on my recently upgraded Parallels Desktop 5.0 for Mac, I get the following error message after the system downloads the tools:

"An error occurred while unpacking the installation package"


Any suggestions?
