uninstaling parallels 8

Does anybody know the best way to un-install parallels 8 . Loaded to use and for 2-3 days worked very well , but over the last week its been getting slower and slower ,, so now when typing on Word I have to wait a second before the letter appears ,which make it less than useless. Have tried reinstalling but just seemed to have got more problems with screen resolution . so as a last ditch attempt before its lobbed into the rubbish I want to do a complete reinstall from scratch but don't particularly want to have to reformat my hard drive Any ideas?
 
Seems to have done the trick,and as a bonus am using dragon speaking which i didn't expect to be able to do as its very memory intensive.a little less accurate as under rammed but still good
What I have done as well, is raise the ram level from 1-2 gig, as I rarely use both mac and windows at the same time except to download files from mac to windows.these do take a little time to load ,and to save but acceptable
