Uninstaling Windows 98 under Parallels

Hi guys...

I am trying to uninstall Windows 98 which is running as my OS for my VM under Mac OSX...
I have read the Microsoft docs for uninstalling Win98, and it tells me to go to Add/Remove Programs in contro panel in Win, and from there to select Add/Remove Windows 98.
I do not get the option to do so when I try that.
Is Parallels capable of performing the uninstall? Or how can I go about it?
I am wanting to uninstall so that I can start over with a fresh install of XP and delete my current VM. I do not want to delete the VM, and still have Win98 hanging about to rot.
Any help is much appreciated.

There is no such thing as "uninstall" an operating system from within the system.

To delete your Windows 98 VM, just use the delete VM choice from the Parallels menu. The VM consists of a few files (typically two) in a folder (default ~/library/parallels/<osname> where <osname> is the name of your VM. If you delete that folder, all traces of the VM (except for a record of its existence) are gone. The delete VM menu choice removes everything unless you have added files to the folder, in which case it leaves those files.

The guest OS installation is in one of those files (the one that ends in .hdd).

So, just to confirn: If I delete the VM, it will completely get rid of Win98 (bar the reord of its existence)?
