    Hi.

I discovered a strange issue with Parallels Tools for Windows.

I recently migrated a existing Parallels Image to VMWare. The conversion itself went well so this is not an issue here.

However, I still have the Parallels Tools installed in the VM and would like to deinstall it. Unfortunately, when I start the Deinstallation from Windows the Parallels Installer quits the Installer with a message that it has to be started in a VM.

Well, I understand that it is required to install and use the Tools within a Parallels VM, but i simply want to remove the Tools. Do you know how this can be removed when the Machine is not longer a Parallels VM?

Just use Add/Remove Programs control panel in Windows.

    I'm having the same trouble

Your suggestion is exactly what I'm trying and it gives me the same message. That windows needs to be running in a VM in order to run the tools... even though we're trying to uninstall it.
