Universal Plug and Play UPnP for Rhapsody

I've installed Rhapsody on my XP vm under OS X 10.4.10 and it works just fine, with one exception. I want to stream using UPnP to my Soundbridge. When I go under Preferences/UPnP in Rhapsody, it sees the Soundbridge IP but not the MAC number. This keeps Rhapsody from streaming.

The process works fine in Boot Camp, so I know it is not the network. The only time I experience the problem is with the vm. I'm using Shared Networking.

(BTW, this was mistakenly posted in the wrong forum originally. There is no intention to "shout" with this question.)
 
Solution was Bridged Networking

I guess I answered my own question! I changed to Bridged Networking and the MAC numbers appeared and I can now stream from the vm. I'm not sure I understand why Shared Networking won't work, but if anyone has an answer, let me know.
