Unusable image after crash

Hi,
I'm spending a lot of time on a Windows 10 image on my MacBook.
It is the second time my MacBook crashes after a CPU spike (which may or may not be due to Parallel Desktop?).
The issue is that after the crash, it seems the virtual disk of the image is corrupted and it no longer boots. It stops right at the beginning after displaying "Trying to boot from SATA drive 1..." (see attached screenshot).
Even worse, I'm unable restore any of the image backups. Parallel Desktop displays the following error popup: PRL_ERR_DISK_OPERATION_NOT_ALLOWED (second screenshot attached).
As you can imagine, this is a major issue for me and any help is welcomed.

Unfortunately we cannot see any screenshots.
Did you check this KB article for the issue resolution?

Hi,
I checked my drive and it has no hardware issue.
Unfortunately I deleted my broken images before being able to run the checks mentioned in the article you linked.
But anyway, it's unfortunate that VM backups cannot be used in case of corrupted image...
It would be great to offer the possibility (if not done by default) to store the backup in a different file/location.
