Update not working

Hi there,

we're using several copies of Parallels and one of them doesn't want to update.
When i check for update it always asks me to register the product even tho it's both registered and activated.

It's Parallels 3 (German) build 5608 and i'm trying to update to 5626.

When i download the dmg-file manually i get to do the install and all works as usual but checking the program shows no change and the build is still at 5608.

Any ideas?

1. Please download the latest build from the link provided below.
2. Here is the link : http://kb.parallels.com/en/5802
3. Download the appropriate file and install it.
4. After that you will have the latest build installed.

Hi Bopanna,
that's the same file i tried yesterday. after several reboots i got it to run tho, so problem solved for now, thanks.
i don't know if it changed the automatic update behaviour though. (asking me to register)

Can you please do the following:
1) uninstall Parallels Desktop according the article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790
2) then download the Parallels Desktop 3.0 5626 http://kb.parallels.com/en/5802
3) install Parallels Desktop
4) install Parallels Tools

Please inform us about the results.

Hello Galochka,

thanks for the help but i think i'll not change anything more for now as i have build 5626 running.
If the automatic update for an upcoming build will ask me to register again i'll try your solution and get back.
