upgrade fro 4 to 5

This may be a simple question or a mistake on my part. I bought version 5 box set (i guess you would call it). I did not realize to install the new version i would have to delete version 4. so i would prefer to upgrade version 4 to 5 instead of a new install. is there a way to do an upgrade with the box set?
