upgraded to release 4560 version 3.0 can not log in now

I upgraded and now it gives me the log in screen and won't accept any passwords.

I originally did not have a password on my account...and had it configured to go directly in bypassing the log in screen.

I am running Windows xp pro.

any thoughts before I reinstall?
