Upgrading Tools in Guest VM

With beta4 I wanted to upgrade Parallels Tools inside a Windows XP SP2 installation.
So I ran the installer which deinstalled the tools first and rebooted the machine. After that
I could not access this vm anymore. I hope this bug gets fixed. Any other recommended
method to upgrade the tools?

Hm, I didn't have that problem. I was able to successfully uninstall and reinstall the tools in XP SP2.

We support upgrade feature for Parallels Tools installation. If you were suggested to remove Parallels Tools during installation then it means that version didn't actually changed.
