USB after power breakdown

Hi,

I use Parallels on Mac with Windows as guest system. I connected one USB device to use with the guest permanently. This works great but... after a power breakdown Parallels does not connect the USB device automatically. In Parallels configuration the device is still listed as a permanent connection but this does not work. After power breakdown I have to connect the USB device by hand.

I use the latest Parallels version.

Please help!

Hi Dezi,
* Pausing a virtual machine releases the resources, such as RAM and CPU, currently used by this virtual machine.
* "Pause Windows when no applications are open" feature is designed to save your Mac resources.
* The released resources can then be used by the host computer and its applications or by other virtual machines running on the host computer. If you select this option, the virtual machine will be automatically paused* provided that:
the virtual machine is running but its window is not active for more than 30 seconds
there are no applications running in guest operating system (no icons of the guest OS applications are present in the Dock)
To manage this feature:
Virtual Machine Configuration -> Options -> Applications-> Untick " Pause Windows when no applications are open"

Just to be sure: Currently my problem is not (I think so) a "pause" of the VM. My problem occurs after a power breakdown (no power for the MAC and then the problem occurs after power on and the new start of Parallels). For me this is an important point because Parallels on my MacMini is running my SmartHome System. From time to time I have problems with my power provider and then after a power breakdown my whole SmartHomeSystem is dead. All I then have to do is to reconnect the USB device in the VM configuration although this should be connected automatically.

Never the less I searched for the " Pause Windows when no applications are open" in my german Parallels installation. I am sorry but I cannot find this option. Attached you see a picture of my configuration.

Could you please help again?
