USB connect / disconnect sound when changing spaces

Recently, whenever I jump from one space to the next in OSX, I get the Windows 7 USB connect and disconnect sound. There are no other notices, and therefore, I am unsure of which device is being discovered or installed. The recurring sound is getting really annoying.

Any ideas on what this might be? This is using Parallels 6.
