Ever since I upgraded to Parallels version 19.1, I have a problem with USB devices I cannot resolve. When Windows is active and I insert a USB drive, as it should Parallels asks me where to connect it. I choose Windows, and then I can see the it checked in the Parallels Devices menu. So I know Parallels is seeing the USB drive. However, in Windows, it does not appear in File Explorer. In the Windows Device Manager, the drive appears with an error indicator that when opened says "Device Cannot Start (Code 10). This normally indicates a driver problem, however, as far as I can tell, the latest drivers are installed.

If a device is "installed" on the Mac side, the files are visible.

Nothing on my system has changed except for the new version of Parallels.

I have a similar issue since upgrading to Parallels version 19.1. I am able to see my external hard drive in Windows 11 File Explorer, however I am no longer able to see my iOS devices (iPhone or iPad) in Windows 11 File Explorer.

I am experiencing the same issue. I was running Windows 10 as a Guest OS and upgraded it to 11, and I am seeing the same issue. Device Cannot Start (Code 10).

    Hello,
Please note that this is a known issue, and our Development team is currently working for a solution.
As a possible work-around, kindly follow the below steps:
    1. Use the link below to download and install the build 19.0 of Parallels Desktop using this link:
    https://download.parallels.com/desktop/v19/19.0.0-54570/ParallelsDesktop-19.0.0-54570.dmg
(When prompted to update to the latest version, kindly do not update to latest build and use current version).
Let us know if the issue is present in the above build.
    2. If the issue is not present in the Parallels Desktop 19.0 build, while reproducing the issue, collect an additional technical report (right-click Parallels icon in Dock > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and provide us with the report's 9-digit ID in reply to this post.
    Thank you.

My Epson scanner software suddenly stopped working on my Windows 11 VM the other day ("Cannot communicate with scanner etc"). I spent hours trying to discover the fault - scanner hardware, scanning software, Windows 11. I was on the point of giving up until I discovered this thread. So I reverted from v19.1.0 - 54729 and downgraded to v 19.0.0 using the link above. Lo and behold, all is now workling well! I won't be so quick to update the next time a new version comes out.

The advice to downgrade to Parallels v19.0 fixed my issue. In fairness, this is the first Parallels update that broke any functionality that I was actively using.
