I'm having trouble getting my host software to recognize hardware properly in 2 separate instances. The devices are Motorola radios--have not had problems using them on VMs on my previous Intel Mac with Fusion.

Currently, they're showing up as USB COM ports in Windows 10 (this is correct). Even though the host software recognizes the com port, as it should, when I try to read from the devices, I get errors. I'm not fully sure if this is a Windows 10 and host software problem or a USB and Parallels on M1 problem...

Any guidance on how to investigate further or ideas on what might be happening?

Yeah, I think that's what's going on here. They're older devices so there's little hope the vendor is going to support this niche case.
