USB Floppy not working

In a new parallels 10 configuration, I installed MS-DOS following the instructions in this forum (much more clear than KB 122581). However, I get error messages that my USB floppy cannot be accessed because of a missing file or device. The floppy works fine with the Mac. I get the same behavior with Mac on Mountain Lion, Parallels 9 and with a different Mac on Mavericks, Parallels 10.

Hi John,
Please follow the steps given below to connect Floppy on Virtual Machine :
1. Go to Devices menu > External Devices and check if USB Floppy drive in the list.
2. Select Floppy Disk > Click Connect Image to the Virtual Machine and then check how it works.
