Hi, ive looked through the forums for an answer to the following question but have found no answer that works for me. If im missing something, or someone has some insight, i would greatly appreciate the help.
Im trying to run Autotap, a piece of usb hardware that connects a computer with an obdII complaint vehicle. Autotaps instructions state "plug in the usb device, allow windows to detect, follow found new hardware prompts"
Im running xp through parallels 3.0 build 5626 with paralles tools installed on a mbp with 10.5.7 installed. I have done the obvious thing like making sure that the guest os has access to the usb devices in the configuration manager, or trying to directly select the device out of the devices pull down. None of this works, xp wont recognize the device, but neither does osx. When i click on devices "autotap usb" is listed there, but clicking on it doesn't bring up the found new hardware wizard, nor is the autotap software able to talk to the device. What am i missing? Thanks for any help you can give guys.
