I am new to this application.Installing parallels 2.5 yesterday onto my 10.4.10, I find like many others issues with USB devices, I am getting the message re device being used by another apllication... I think I have downloaded build 3214 - should I get this info when I go to "about parallels"? - but my problem seems to persist. Done all the usual, rebooting etc. and drawn a blank. Can't use pen driver, printer etc. and don't seem to be able to drag and drop files from one OS to another (?explorer not present) Very frustrated.
Have you tried using Parallels 3? You can back-up your VM and give it a try with a 15-day trial. I found it solved my USB issues. My users can now use their pen-drives, treos, etc. without much difficulty.
The PC shop have sold me the older 2.5 version. Have done just as you've said, downloading 3.0 and it works an absolute treat. Thrilled - all my issues are resolved-THANKS! Off to the PC shop to demand my money back!
Glad everything works, just don't forget, it's a 15-day trial so you will need to buy 3.0 before that is up. When did the shop sell you 2.5? If they are still selling it, they should have at least offered the new one. :-/
