I have a software that requires a dialup connection from my Macbook to the hospital I work out of. The more recent versions of this software (it is called Meditech by Cambridge) don't work with any G5 Mac, so I have been hoping that I could connect under Parallels. No luck so far. I have not been able to get the Apple USB external modem to connect and I bought a Trendnet USB external modem and tried to install this in my Windows desktop without any success. I have read through many threads on this subject and am still looking for a solution. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I was able to get the Mac version of the Meditech software to work after all. The key was to install a "string" which either unlocks compression or prevents errors. The original string Cambridge gave me didn't work, but I called them and they gave me a new string that worked fine. I don't need the Windows modem now.
