Hello,
I am using Parallels Desktop 3.0 on a MacPro with OSX 10.4.11
I have a virtual (Windows XP SP2+post fixes) running with no problems.
What I am trying to do is get a Motorola Razr2 V9m to connect via
a usb cable so that it syncs with Windows Media Player 11 in the
virtual machine.
After loading the drivers in WindowsXP, I connect the phone via
a usb cable and Parallels recognizes the phone with no problems
prompting me with the standard yes or no menu. In addition, the
phone is listed in the lower right hand corner of available usb devices
for use in Parallels.
However, when I start WMP11 the phone is not listed as one of my
sync options in the WMP11 sync menu.
When I connect and disconnect the phone via the usb port I do
see that WindowsXP in the device manager adds and removes the correct
usb device when it is or is not connected.
If I connect the same phone to a standard Dell Latitude laptop with
WindowsXPSP2 I have no problems syncing to and from the phone
via WMP11.
Since the phone works on standard Dell Intel laptop with WindowsXP SP2
I assume either the problem is with the Mac OS and/or Parallels is having
a problem passing the information onto the virtual machine.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions other than just using ITunes.
Thank you
Joe
