USB stick not recognized

Hello,
i use paralells destop for mac 4.0 build 3540 with windows xp.
if i insert my usb stick, i am asked weather it should be connected to mac or virtual machine.
if i choose virtual machine, its not found in windows, i have to restart windows until it is found and ready for use.
is this a bug or a matter of wrong configuration ?
 
yes, its reproduceable - also with different mem-sticks

but now i fortunately discovered that when the stick is mounted in os x it is connected to windows as a network drive, so i have access this way - this is good for me too.

but maybe others have this problem too (read of some in a macuser forum who had similiar problems), so i think its of interest to you guys from parallels team.

Please, try ths test:

find the "USB devices" icon on the bottom of the virtual machine's window (it should be running in the Window mode), click on this icon ans see if there is the stick in the list of devices (see the screenshot)

If it is present, click on it for it to be captured by the virtual machine.
You should hear the tone which is usually played by USB device connection and VM should recognize the drive.

I did so, but as before, the stick was attached to teh virtual machine, but windows didnt find it, there also wasnt that popping sound when a new device is found by windows. (see attached pic, datatraveler 2.0 is my stick)

in device manager, no usb stick is shown when plugged in while xp is running, when xp is restarted, it is shown under "usb-controller"
 
Addition:once its recognized, i can plug-off and plug-in again the stick and all ist ok, but as soon as i sent my xp to suspended mode, it forgets the mem stick. but when i let the hardware-assistand search for new hardware its recognized again. thats good enough for me, i dont use that stick so often with xp - thanks for your help
