Use Mac default email app as default email app in Windows 7

In VM Configure Applications use drop down to select use mac mail. it will then bring up mail when you try to email in quicken. (using Windows 8, don't think that should matter)

Email from MYOB on Windows 8 on Parallels VM

I recently encountered a similar issue running MYOB (accounting software) on a Windows 8 install on MacBookPro. I solved it by installing Thunderbird email client on the Windows machine and setting the account to POP and to not download new messages on startup. Set the Parallels to use default email client and it starts Thunderbird from the sending of an invoice from MYOB.

I'm on OS 10.10.5 and Parallels 10.3.0 with Windows 8.1 and PowerPoint and Excel 2013 - the above mentioned solution with Configure\Applications\ share apps and "Email open in Mac" worked out perfectly for me. Thanks to the authors of the previous posts.
