Use Mac internal mic on Vista VM

I have a customer using a Vista VM with Parallels 4 on a Macbook Pro. She would like to use the Mac's internal mic on the Vista VM, however it does not appear to record sound. We have tried several different sound programs, including Vista's sound recorder and the audio is not picked up. If we plug in a usb headset sound is picked up through it's microphone.

The internal mic is microphone device used in the Mac OS, and it works fine there.
I have tried different sound inputs on Paralles: default and internal mic, neither work.
I have installed all drivers from the Mac OSX disk.

Any suggestions on how to get this to work?
 
I have the same problem

I'm having the same problem only with Parallels 5 and Windows 7. My internal microphone works fine on the Mac side but though it appears to be working in Control Panel, programs can't pick it up in windows. I have also tried changing the device settings, but none work.

I'm having a similar problem. I'm trying to use Rosetta Stone through parallels, but Windows doesn't recognize a microphone device.

then when you open the software

How many channels you want to use:
one

In transfer channel, choose the option:
Parallels Sound Card >> e2eSoft VAudio

In Rosetta Stone:
Set Preferences-> Audio Settings
(Click on regenerating list) appear: e2eSoft VAudio - Microphone
(select it and click apply changes)

En Canal de transferencia, escoger la opcion:
Parallels Sound Card >> e2eSoft VAudio

En Rosetta Stone:
Configurar preferencias->Configuraciones de audio
(Click en regenerar lista) aparecera: e2eSoft VAudio - Microphone
(seleccionarlo y click en aplicar cambios)
