Using a graphics driver other than the Parallels driver

Is there a way to install a Windows Vista x64 graphics driver to take advantage of the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT that is in my MacBook Pro 17 instead of using the graphics driver that Parallels installs in my Windows Vista VM environment?
I downloaded the driver and tried to install it in the Windows Vista x64 environment but I get a message that says it does not recognize a 64-bit OS in use. I check the properties of the VM and it says I am using the 64-bit version of Vista.
Any ideas?

This is not possible, there is a certain set of drivers that are essential to run the virtualized environment.

That is why the driver installation is failing.
