Using Alt-F1 ... Alt-F4 with Linux VirtualMachine

Hi all,

I'm using Parallels Desktop for Mac to run Debian Linux on my MacBook Pro, and it's running fine. But I have the problem, that i can't switch Linux-Console with Alt-F1 ... Alt-F4. Evey time i'm trying i get the OSX functions mapped on the function key's ...

Is there a way to to do this ?

This question has come up over and over, and the answer remains the same: Either change the system preference to pass function keys to the software, or press and hold fn just before pressing the function key. In your case, it would be Alt-fn-F1 in exactly that order -- fn-Alt-F1 will not work.

This is probably the 5,000th answer to this question (OK I exaggeate, only the 500th).

Search the forums for other neat things to do with the fn key.
